2 weeks of Learning #1

From our first meeting in EnglishB7-3, I really hoped that my teacher would be the same form the teacher I had in English 1 and English 3 last semester, who was Sir Toto and Sir Pol, but unfortunately it wasn’t. We had a female instructor, her name is Mrs. Lynnie Anne Decoampo, when she entered the classroom she started to talk straight English. Then she made this rule that requires all of us to speak English during her classes. It was interesting for me, but still hard because I am not that fluent in speaking the required language. After that, she gave us an assignment about making a Main topic and under it is 5 related topics.
In our second meeting, she grouped us according to our main topics. And told us that each group must create one topic and brain storm about it for us to write a thesis statement and 3 main topics. So, our group’s main topic is “The College Life Distractions”, and while we had some brainstorming, I haven’t help that much because for me, it feels a little awkward in speaking English with other people. But I think the main key here, is to practice English, for me to get use in speaking this language with other people. Then we reported what we have discussed. After that she gave us a goup assignment, that is to make some sub topics from our main topic.
In the third meeting, our instructor was absent, because of an unexpected accident, according to her blog. So, on our fourth meeting, she started to discuss about our grading system, the blog rules, and the learning and assignment blog. Then, we reported our group assignment. After listening from every group, she gave us an activity, which is to write a write-up based on the outline that we had made. Then she left the room. I was just sitting writing till the yellow paper was full, and I passed it and left home, carrying a smile because its weekend.

  1. So how did you feel about the activity? Did you find it helpful to be actually doing it rather just me lecturing about it? And by the way, I didn't just blog about my accident. I also told you in class about it.

  2. Well, it was good and was very helpful. I was able to meet new friends. Also, though I didn't understand that much about making a Thesis statement that time, I learned from them.

Now, I think, I can make a thesis statement. hehe! Yeah, I know, I forgot to blog about that you told us in class that you were in an accident...
